Chinese Modern Paintings and Calligraphy Department
Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy covers a period that runs from the late 19th century through to the present day, and encompasses scroll work, fan paintings and calligraphy and seal carvings. Important ink and brush artists, and those that appear regularly in our auctions, include Fu Baoshi, Zhang Daqian, and Qi Baishi, as well as other important contributors to the various movements and periods of Chinese Modern Painting and Calligraphy.
